Crime Tips & Prevention Minimize

DON'T BE A VICTIM

Help prevent crime by taking precautions to make your home, business, and family safe and resistant to crime.

At Home:

  • Don't be a hero call the police if a burglar attempts to enter your home.
  • Keep your doors locked, even if you are at home during the day.
  • If you are going to be away from home for an extended period of time use timers for light switches to make it appear that someone is home, and ask your mail carrier to hold your mail while you are gone, or ask a trusted neighbor or friend to pick up items delivered to your home.

Identity Theft:

  • Be sure to shred any documents before placing them in the trash. Don't give the thief your information.
  • Pick up your mail as soon as possible. A thief will check mail boxes for checks.

Keep Kids Safe:

  • Ask us about  “stranger danger” we can help teach your children how to be safe.
  • Do you know who your children are networking with on social networks such as Facebook and myspace.
